動詞 spend / cost / take (花費)的用法：

一、spend (spend, spent, spent)：主詞必為       。

※人 + spend + 時間/錢 + (on) + 名詞/V-ing

Ex. I spent 200 on buying the watch.

 = I spent 200 (on) buying the watch.

 注意：介系詞後加名詞或動名詞。

Exercise：

1. 1.      他花了100元買這本書。

                                                             .

                                                             .

(花了表示已經發生通常spend會用過去式spent)。

二、take (take, took, taken) ：主詞可為     或     。

    ※物當主詞：事物 + take + 人 + 時間(to V)

Ex. Doing his homework took him 2 hours.

 = It took him 2 hours to do his homework.

      ↑虛主詞              ↑真主詞

Exercise：

1. 1.      獨自一人做這份報告要花很多時間。

                                                             .

                                                             .

1. 2.      粉刷完這片牆花了我一整天。

                                                             .

                                                             .

三、cost(cost, cost, cost) 花～錢/某物價值～錢：主詞可為  it  或     。

    ※物當主詞：事物 + cost+ 人 + 金錢(to V)

    Ex. This trip to Nantou will cost everyone $5,000.

     = It will cost everyone $5,000 to take the trip to Nantou.

      注意：(It 和 to V後的真主詞對調位置而已)

Exercise：

1. 1.      這手表不用多少錢，它才100元。
